Who I am

I am Zoë Dew, trading as Falling Forwards Ltd. For the purposes of UK GDPR, I am the ‘controller’ of the personal information you give me through this website.

This privacy policy relates to your use of my website, www.zoedew.com. The site may link out to trusted third-party websites which have their own separate privacy policies. I don't accept responsibility for those.

My collection and use of your personal information

Personal information I might collect includes: your name, address, contact details, date of birth, bank or payment details, feedback, and information about the services you buy from me.

I use this to create your account, verify your identity, provide the service you've bought, customise the website for you, notify you of changes, and improve what I offer.

This website is not intended for use by children and I do not knowingly collect or use personal information relating to children.

Legal basis for processing

When I use your personal information I am required to have a legal basis for doing so. Depending on the situation, that basis is your consent, a contract between us, a legal obligation, vital interests, a public task, or my legitimate interests.

I will share personal information with law enforcement or other authorities if required by applicable law. I will not share your personal information with any other third party.

Transfer of your information out of the UK and EEA

Some of the tools I use to run this business (email, payments, scheduling) may store data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, I make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to fair processing and transparency, to access your personal information, to have mistakes corrected, to have information erased in certain situations, to data portability, to object to direct marketing, to object to automated decision-making, and to otherwise restrict my processing of your data in certain circumstances.

Keeping your personal information secure

I have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. I have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data breach, and will notify you and any applicable regulator where I'm legally required to.

How to complain

UK GDPR also gives you the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), who can be reached at ico.org.uk/concerns or 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to address your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please contact me first.

I may change this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
